Proud to be here in Russia

I can't help but be happy for Russia in Winning the Eurovision and WORLD Ice Hockey Championships. Two weeks two great triumph for Russia and for every Russian and also for me. I am a Filipino who spent ten grueling months here in Russia as a volunteer-student for AFS and after these several events I feel proud and happy at the same time for Russia.



Last week started Russia's winning streak when Russian won over the Internationa Ice Hockey Championships in Quebec in Canada. After the overtime Russia won 5:4 and it was not an easy win for the Russian team because the Canadians was ready to fight until the end. But after this grueling battle in the ice.




EUROVISION 2008 was a different story. Last year Dima Bilan promised to bring home the trophy but he ended up 2nd place but this year he was back for a vengence. He can be considered very professional in the competition since this is his 2nd time in two straight years,Russians said he needs to bring the Eurovision Trophy this time. And he never failed. Although his performance was a bit nerve wracking and the whole effect of his song was all in all okay. I still give him 9 for their performance not a 10 since his voice was queking like a tunnel ready to blow up.
